Dr. Ami Vaidya grew up in the west suburbs of Chicago. After obtaining her bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences from Marquette University, she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she earned her doctorate in dental medicine (DMD). Dr. Vaidya furthered her training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital / Cornell, where she completed a general practice residency. During this time, she became skilled in treating medically compromised patients, dental emergencies, and complex dental cases.

Dr. Vaidya is excited to join the Downtown Dental team, where she specializes in all aspects of general dentistry. She believes that individualized care leads to optimal results and takes pride in comprehensive dental care and patient education. Dr. Vaidya is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois Dental Society, and the Chicago Dental Society. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and teaching dance.
